A year and a half ago, my boyfriend and I were thinking about getting a dog. We both had a big love for the push-faced animals, so we were looking into Pugs. We checked Petfinder.com a lot, looking for a pup we felt would be a good for us, and our handsome kitty Baxter. We originally were looking at puppies. Then one day, we saw Duke’s profile here. It directed us to Buffalo Pugs and we read about him, checked out his photos and even though he was seven years old and not a puppy we originally wanted, but we had to have him. We put in our application that day and had several conversations with his wonderful foster mom and got to know a lot about him. We drove to Rochester and picked him up. As soon as we walked in to their site, he ran right to us, sat right next to me and we fell in love with him. He has turned out to be the most loving, loyal, well mannered, handsome dog ever. He is better than we had ever hoped for in a dog. He has a collapsed trachea, which his previous owner called an allergy, but now that it has been properly diagnosed he is doing great. He loves his brother cat Baxter, and he has parents and grandparents that just can’t get enough of him and will never let him go!
