meet Nyx!
I came across Nyx on Petfinder, under the name Puggsley, while looking for a bondmate for my current rabbit. He was a very sweet looking boy who I thought would make a very good match for my little girl. I first introduced them to each other at MSPCA and I could tell they were perfect for each other. I adopted him on June 5, 2011, and the first week I had him at home I could tell he was a brilliant rabbit. I had him in an exercise pen next to my other rabbit for the first part of the bonding process, but it was becoming difficult for me to contain him. He was a genius; every set up I had he managed to out smart and find a way out. Eventually I moved into a one-bedroom apartment and gave him and his partner a whole room. Every time he needed something, he would ring the bell that I had placed on the gate as a toy. Unfortunately soon after we moved his partner passed away, but this is when I really noticed how smart he is. If I say ‘let’s go,’ he knows that it’s time for me to go to work and he gets a treat, or if I say ‘up,’ he knows he is allowed to hop on the bed. This little bunny has an amazing personality and he has become one of my best friends; he even sleeps next to my legs at night. Adopting is one of the best choices I have ever made. I can tell just by looking at him that he knows he is in a safe, warm, loving, and caring home. He is my best friend and my forever bunny.
